Chapter 2.24: 7.04 Years

Year 8, day 15: At the start of the year, Wigglytuff announced that the Wigglytuff Guild would be partnering with the Expedition Society on the Water Continent. We were officially intercontinental. We had to buy our own Liner Passes, but the high prices were discounted for guild members in a deal with Lapras.

This was an amazing opportunity and everyone was excited. Jobs could come from anywhere in the world, kept up to date by the Pokémon Nexus operated by the Society. Everyone else was amazed; I just remembered how often that thing was said to break.

Year 8, day 17: Curious about the Expedition Society, we set out for the Water Continent. The port town there, Lively Town, certainly lived up to its name, and was one of the biggest of the port towns in the world. I had a bit of trouble getting a read on the culture though. Pokémon of the Water Continent had problems, but apparently, they just loved being alive.

The Expedition Society HQ wasn’t hard to find. The crew there is pretty eccentric, but having worked with Wigglytuff for seven years, we weren’t phased. I was dumbstruck by Mawile’s study, a comprehensive collection of all the ancient works and documents everywhere. She even knew about the eighteen Treasures, though the records she could immediately recall were all of ones I had already. I agreed to show her the ones I had collected on a later trip. She seems very enthusiastic about finally being able to see them. In exchange, she’ll keep an eye out for any leads on them and send them to me via Pelipper Mail.

Also they have a Jirachi

A JIRACHI

Terra couldn’t stop me from hugging the ever-loving snot out of him but she did manage to knock me out and my Badge teleported me out of the building.

That was embarrassing.
