Chapter 2: 0.1 Years

Year 1, day 38: Using lumber purchased from a mill near Threed (Way of the Mob for the win), we built a dock on Beak Point. Wasn’t easy getting down the cliff from the ocean, but having more than one team member capable of flight made it easier. We also built a high sturdy fence around the entire cape. Good thing Cody was good enough with money to buy all the necessary permits.

Today, the expedition team to explore the world set off. Terra, Manaphy, Anita, Cody, and I waved goodbye to Tooty, Twig, Bolt, Bitbit, and Timothy (who have named themselves Team BLT, for two B’s, three T’s, and a Load of adventure… Tooty should not be allowed to make up names anymore…) and watched them sail westward. I told them to make sure to avoid the waters between Summers and Scaraba for awhile, since there was a vicious kracken hanging around wrecking ships there, to which Bolt reminded us he was an Electric-type Pokémon. Godspeed to them, and be safe.

Because lord knows I’m probably going to have my hands full.

The other day, it occurred to me to ask the notebook what it meant by youth having its advantages. It was quite vague about the answer, stating only that my strength in my child form form would increase as I fought with it. I’m not sure what would benefit being strong as a kid or teenager would do, but there was a chance I had PSI. Did it mean I would only get PSI powers while in this child form? I already exhibited some high-level engineering knowledge for my age that I’m certain I didn’t pick up before while constructing the dock. It made me think of Jeff, the one party member in the game that didn’t have PSI.

In any case, it was clear it wanted me to fight in this human child form while in this world. Which is why, while we were in Threed, I picked up a minor league-quality baseball bat. I suspect I’m going to need it.
